7 Best Alcoholic Drinks For Sore Throat, Cough, and Cold

Alcoholic drinks are not always used only to get wasted, but as medications as well. Take a look at these 7 best alcoholic drinks for sore throat, cough, and cold if you don’t believe me.

Nowadays, whenever we get any symptom such as a cough, sneezing, higher temperature, or any simple pain, we immediately rush to the hospital or a pharmacy to get some medication. This would be ok if each of those medications wouldn’t have a bad effect on our organism. Like this isn’t bad enough, we do it to our children as well and, by doing it, we are ruining their organism and immune system. We also risk of getting our children and ourselves immune to all medications as well. And what then? Stronger antibiotics? Surgeries?

But how did our ancestors heal? How do our grandmothers live for 100 years? Let me tell you how: traditional medicine! Yes, you read right! Traditional medications include homemade tea from the fresh plants, milk, grease, plants, and alcohol.

When I was a kid, whenever I had a high fever, my mum, and my grandmother put sliced potatoes on my head and in my socks and rubbed me with alcohol. Within a day, the fever was gone. Now, when I bring my child to the hospital because of the high fever, they give him strong medications that I wouldn’t dare to drink. No, I am not gonna ruin my child’s organism with those things unless I have to!

When my generation was young, whenever we had a cough, our parents put grease on our chests and throat. Again, within a day, it was all gone. It also helped with sneezing.

And when it comes to alcohol, it had the widest usage. It was used for throat, high fever, bruises, cuts etc. So if those things worked, why did we change them? Because of the advancing medicine, right? Ok, and does it help? Sometimes. And did those traditional ones help? They did. So why changing something that works?

Since all of us have some old full bottle of alcohol that we don’t drink, just sitting there, collecting dust in case we have guests (that we always forget to serve with it), why don’t use it for a good cause? Instead of getting wasted and mopping the floor with our own faces, we can use it to heal ourselves. But don’t rush into it before you read the full article about 7 best alcoholic drinks for sore throat, cough, and cold, because not every alcoholic drink is supposed to be used like this.
