There are several things that you choose in your life that will mark you until you are dead: your profession and your spouse. As a teenager, you could do all sorts of things for the allowance: wash cars, clear lands, babysit, walk dogs, but the college that you pick is something that usually can’t be changed for a life. After you graduate, you can find some part- or full-time job just until you find the job in your profession but you need to be careful since you are most likely to stay there for a long, long time.

Honestly, I am not an expert in neither of those cases since I missed applying for the right college and ended up on the one that I won’t finish for the life so I had to go on different courses to get the right certificates for the job that I am a fan of. When it comes to spouse, I was the only one to be blamed and I made not one but two mistakes, which really isn’t really charming. But, at least I can handle my job.

On the other hand, I would lie if I said that money isn’t a big trigger when picking the college. You don’t want to spend 4 years, if not more, on college that you won’t be able to pay back for the next 10 years. College after which you will only be able to pay the basics and end up left with almost nothing for savings.
