Smoking is bad. But so many other things are bad as well. It doesn’t mean that people can give up on them. For example, stress and depression became one of the most frequent causes of death in the last couple of years. So, let’s forget about them? Yes, it would be awesome, but it isn’t the way the world works.
As a smoker, I have to admit that I don’t want to stop. I don’t know if I could. I would probably have some crisis but I initially don’t want to. I enjoy my cigarette, especially in the morning, after I prepare my hot morning coffee. There isn’t a better feeling.
But I have many other costs to cover on a monthly basis and there is no point of giving much money on that luxury. Just enough to cover my needs. One pack per a day or less. And, of course, I want to use my money for bills, groceries, clothes, and toys for my baby, clothes for myself, and occasional drinks with my friends. Why not? I am a mother, but I can’t lose myself. I need to take care of myself as well and, although smoking is bad for me, it makes me happy and satisfied. So why to quit? I don’t want to and it is my right. My parents and my grandparents smoke as well and they are still alive. As long as it doesn’t affect my baby, my luxury is there. But, of course, the cheaper one.
But just because something is cheap, it doesn’t need to be bad. Some cigarette brands are not that harmful and aren’t that bad taste just because of the low cost. Actually, sometimes they taste even better than the more expensive ones. I know that I tried cigarette that costs three times more than the ones I am used to. Oh my God, it was the worst feeling in the world. I wanted to throw up and had my throat hurt for the next week or even more. It was the worst idea I had for the whole night and, on a daily basis, I have many bad ideas, so imagine it.
