It is exhilarating to work for a startup. It is very exciting as well because you de something new that hasn’t been created. You can always find a market that has been left untouched. The opportunities are unlimited in these days and their number is continually growing. For instance car services are excellent examples because while large numbers of cities have cabs, apps like Uber, Gett have revolutionized the way we can call a car if we want to go somewhere. Many people use these apps when they do overwork, it’s late at night and the trains don’t run very often, so it would be difficult to get home.

Now without a further ado let’s see what Insider Monkey has investigated for us. We have picked three cities from their list as usual.

The first city is Quebec City. One of the most inspiring startup cities with around 150 to 300 startups is Quebec City. Quebec City may have struggled to keep up with its neighbors but with first of its kind startups focusing on new categories, we will not be surprised if Quebec City will climb and secure a spot to the top 20 in the coming years. The second city is Montreal. This city may not have made it to top 20 but it shows that it has a strong ecosystem.  There may be a slow pace for startups in Montreal but this is an advantage for having deep connections with the customers. It has around 800 to 1,400 startups but Montreal should be wise in picking their talents to achieve a better performance. The third city is Toronto. In the top 20 is actually the Toronto-Waterloo Corridor so we included both Toronto and Waterloo on our list. Hootsuite is the leading startup in Toronto and is known outside of the Canadian borders. While Toronto is a city where startups are blossoming, there’s still much to work on especially to compete with its main competitor, Silicon Valley in the United States.
