Cortana vs. Siri vs. Alexa vs. Google Assistant: The Best AI

Technology is one of the most developed areas of all nowadays, and most of us are using a different kind of virtual assistance, but have you ever thought about who is the best of all digital assistants-Cortana, Siri, Alexa or Google Assistant? Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) was first to launch such an assistant, Siri for the iPhone, in 2011, and it immediately became one of the distinctive characteristics of the company’s devices.

Digital assistants that are embedded in mobile phones and computers are becoming an integral part of smart devices. With the advent of technology, their use comes more and more pronounced and finds application in a variety of situations. These smart assistants have the ability to understand the voice commands of a real person or user and respond to set tasks, but also develop and learn. If we are talking about Siri, Siri has been tagged as an on-the-go assistant useful for providing quick answers and executing basic tasks. Siri has had its fair share of criticism, particularly from people who want more regarding Siri’s ability to provide solutions. Google Assistant has a knack for being predictive with offering additional information related to a user’s question and is noted to be able to understand more accents than Siri. Meanwhile, critics say that the assistant compounds the privacy concerns users already have regarding Google. Do you know how some of these digital assistants got their names? The teams behind the digital assistants decided, for some reason, to give them names (mostly women). Thus, in the past few years, Siri for Apple, Cortana for Microsoft and Alex for Amazon devices have been presented. And Google has shown its Google Assistant, but they have not yet given a personal name. Siri is the most famous voice assistant in the world of smartphones, first introduced in iPhone 5 on the iPhone 4S in October 2011. The Norwegian word ‘Siri’ means ‘an attractive woman leads you to victory.’ Cortana’s digital assistant was code-named, according to an intelligent character from the Microsoft’s Halo series, but the users wanted it to be finally, so the company left this name after launch in 2014. Alexa was the original inspiration for the digital assistant came from the science fiction Tv show the “Star Trek.”
