With education being the foundation of country’s development, both economic and social, it is important to know what the best educational systems and 25 most educated countries in the world in 2017

For most of the students across the world, the school bells rang less than 2 weeks ago. The youngest ones are excited as always, while a bit older generations wish that the summer vacation lasted for just a bit longer. If it’s any consolation, the sooner you start, the sooner it would be over. But trust me, you don’t really want the school to end.

I won’t lecture anyone about the school period being the best period in anyone’s life because, personally, although I am grateful for the opportunities that were given to me during my elementary and high school period, I wouldn’t go back there ever again.

Nelson Mandela once said: ‘’Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world’’. And it is true. Knifes win the battles, but the true knowledge wins the war.

Education is the very important segment of people’s lives and the country’s development. The higher rate of educated population, the higher chances that educational institution would breed new, even better, businessmen, scientists, doctors, tech savvies, diplomats, and leaders. More importantly, it can decrease the poverty and increase the longevity of life.

Besides being important for the country’s well, the higher level of education affects people’s personalities as well. The higher education you have, the more business opportunities you will have in life, and the more chances for the further improvement. But unlike the older times, when a man had one single purpose, in the matter of profession, and had to work too hard to gain the theoretical and practical skills, the newer generations have a bit lighter path. With the Internet development, the knowledge of the whole world is available for people with only one click. They don’t need to bother spending years and years on college (unless they are eager for the experience the older ones told them about) and now, with all the websites such as Coursera, Udacity, and Other MOOCs, they can get certified much quicker and gain all the knowledge easier than they used to.

For this list, Insider Monkey took the tertiary education as the primary criteria. For the ones that are unfamiliar with the term, the tertiary education is the highest educational level there is for each specific profession. Of course, there had to be other parameters included as well, but none of them would matter for a country’s ranking if there weren’t for the tertiary education. Speaking of it, the average percentage of the population with tertiary education is 42.1% and you can’t even imagine how higher two Asian countries jumped here.
