Being the second oldest city in Chile, La Serena has an important historical, and cultural significance and its unique and appealing architecture made it one of the top touristic destinations in the country. That, and the beautiful beaches of course. The second city is Puerto Montt, where the rent cost is $335. Hospital to population ratio is 58,646. Flight to U.S. costs $1,341. If you have a tight budget, then Puerto Montt is the city for you, unless you want to travel to the United States a lot. The rent cost in the lowest on our lists, but the flight cost is the highest since the city is located in the south of Chile. There are plenty of things to enjoy in Puerto Montt, but keep in mind that most of them belong to the category of natural attractions.
