You will see that the list of the 10 largest cement producing countries in the world contains the countries with the biggest economies, too. We have brought Insider Monkey’s article again, which is a must-read. As we could read in many other lists, the United States isn’t the largest one among countries. The main reason of that is outsourcing the producing into other countries, while leaving the fellow-countrymen without jobs. The other reason is that some kind of decreasing could be seen in spending in construction in 2019.
Despite of a decline in spending, cement production in the United States increased by 2.5% and it has reached 86 million tonnes. When it comes to these 86 million tonnes it’s arresting to remark that there are only 96 plants where cement is produced in the whole America! As a matter of fact we can find several closed and idle plants, while we can see that others decrease their capacity. As we mentioned above, one of the main reasons of this phenomenon that import is pretty cheap. Not only the import of cement is realtively cheap, but other materials’, too, such as cobalt, aluminium etc.
But seeing its positive side, we can say that there are plenty of large cement producing companies, as the United States is among the countries that can boast with the largest constructions in the world.
