Now without a further ado let’s see what Insider Monkey has investigated for us. We have picked three current topics for debate competition from their list.
The first debate topic can be ‘Do mothers who work outside of the home have a negative effect on their children?’ Well, my mother was at home with us for ten years. When she had to go back to work I was very disappointed and couldn’t understand why she did. Every morning I asked my mom to stay at home and not go to work. How hard could this be for her! How much she wanted to stay instead of leaving for her workplace! Nevertheless I wouldn’t say my school performance became worse just because she went back to work. But in my soul I felt the changes. Until that time she cooked every morning and waited for us with lunch, we ate lunch together and chatted a lot. When she began to work again, all this disappeared as she got home early in the evening, and she was tired. When I have kids I want to stay at home with them. I want to wait for them at home every day. The next topic is ‘Is introvert work more important than group work in the work place and at school?’ Well, this is another controversial question. I think both of them is important and we shouldn’t say this or that is more important than the other. Nevertheless I must confess I much prefer working alone to working in a team. At last, but not least, let’s see the last question: ‘Is airport security an invasion of our privacy or does the safety justify the cost?’. As for me, I think it’s an essential procedure we need to face. Personally I prefer staying alive to being dead but with an unopened suitcase. So, what is your opinion of these topics? How would you answer them?
