So you are interested in fun things. We have picked three places to go in Belgrade from Insider Monkey’s list. Belgrade offers you cheap prices of things you can do here, from food and drinks to museums, festivals, and other activities. Also you can find affordable accommodations, too. So we have chosen three places: Mount Avala, Visit some of the “splav”s, and Belgrade zoo. Mount Avala is a popular place to go if you like hiking, it is hardly can be called a mountain as it is 511 meters high, but you will gain spectacular view over the landscape. You can reach it with public transportation as well, but I think it’s much better if you go there on foot. It’s also a favorite place for picnics for families, friends and lovers. The Monument to the Unknown Hero is worth visiting as well, it was built on the remains of medieval Fortress Žrnov. The next tip is to visit some of the “splav’s. Splav is Serbian word for raft. These rafts are on River Sava and Danube docks that were adapted as clubs and bars. These rafts mean a wonderful experience over Belgrade’s nightlife, depending what your preferences are. You can find lots of music taste here, jazz, rock etc. Here, among others, you can also experience how a hardcore Balkan party sounds with the (in)famous turbo-folk music. At last, but not least we mention Belgrade zoo. If you like going to zoos for sure you will enjoy it, too. Among other animals you can see the oldest alligator in captivity in the world. His name is Muja and he was born before 1936.
