What are the professions with the highest divorce rates? Insider Monkey has recently published an interesting article about this topic. Now without a further ado let’s see what Insider Monkey has investigated for us. We have picked three professions with the highest divorce rates.

At first, there are professions that were very strange for me to see them on the list: Baggage porters and concierges, divorce rate is 28.49%. I think you will also be  surprised to find this occupation on this ranking of professions with the highest divorce rates, as it is not the one people first think of when they think about professions and divorce relations. The only explanation I can think of is that this job is so boring that people are looking for any kind of excitement to bring to their life, and oftentimes, unfortunately, they bring in the negative one, whether they start cheating on their spouses, or they just pick a fight with them everyday for no relevant reason. Or maybe is just that they have encounters with so many people on a daily basis that they sooner or later find another love of their life? Who knows? The second group of professions doesn’n mean a surprise for anybody as burning out is a serious risk for them, too: Nursing, psychiatric, and home health aides, divorce rate is 28.95%. We are all aware how hard and how stressful the jobs in the healthcare industry are. People working in this field have a serious job (taking care of someone’s health), very few free hours, often being too tired to use them for some hobby activities and all, which makes it hard for maintaining a healthy life-family balance. Don’t you think? At last, but not least, let’s check the numbers of Factory workers: food & tobacco, divorce rate is 29.78%. This definitely has something to do with boredom and the money. I don’t think there are many factory workers who are satisfied completely with their jobs and the salary. All this leads to unhappiness, and stress, which eventually spill over into other aspects of their lives. No wonder it’s on our list of professions with the highest divorce rates.
