12 Countries with the Highest Breast Cancer Rates in the World

Cancer became the disease of the modern era and today we are going to talk about cancer that affects more and more women each year. Today, we are covering 12 countries with the highest breast cancer rates in the world.

As surprising as it sounds, although it became common disease among women, there are records of several men being diagnosed with the breast cancer as well. This most common malignant tumor is manifested by the appearance of the new cell formation while the specific tumor cells can be spread in different parts of the body where they can find their ‘home’ and begin to grow and reproduce the new tumor cells that will spread on the different parts of the body. This process is called metastasis and it usually affects the bones, lungs, liver, lymph nodes, and the brain.

According to the WHO (World Health Organization), there were more than 500,000 recorded cases of death caused by breast cancer in 2011 only. Another case study done by Globocan showed that just one year later there were 1.67 million new cases of the breast cancer recorded. This affects both developed and underdeveloped countries with the big difference in the mortality caused by different way and possibility of the care of the disease. So, while there are 6 people in 100,000 affected by the breast cancer died in Eastern Asia, there are 20 people per 100,000 died on the other side, in Western Africa.

Fortunately, medical experts all around the world try their best to find the best medicament that will cure this fatal disease and there are already some types of breast cancer that are completely safe with having all of those drugs and treatments discovered. On the other hand, unfortunately, cancer is eager to mutation so there are new types each day that are unfamiliar to scientist and, whereas, they are still unable to be treated right.

Some of the cases of breast cancer can be easily treated with drugs, while some require chemotherapy. Besides that, there is a way of completely removing the affected breast or even both of them, just as the precaution. These are not all the perfect solutions but at least they keep people alive and hopefully, the cure will be found in this decade.

The question is: what really causes it? Let’s take a look at 12 countries with the highest breast cancer rates in the world and see if there is some link between them.
