Let’s proceed to the list of the best selling cigarettes in the world in 2018. Insider Monkey has recently published an interesting article about it. As for me, I tried cigarette when I was five, I think. My elder brother encouraged me, and we smoked from our father’s cigarettes. It was horrible. I coughed, my eyes were in tears. I am afraid I smoke, too. It is very interesting because I began smoking only three years ago. I smoke menthol flavored cigarettes, which is eventually the most popular flavor. I swore to myself not to smoke from now so I haven’t bought any cigarettes in the past couple of days. I hope I will be strong enough!
Now without a further ado let’s see what Insider Monkey has investigated for us. We have picked three of the best selling cigarettes in the world in 2018 from their list.
The first one is Chesterfield. Chesterfield is a traditional U.S. cigarette brand. It was founded in the second half of 19th century (1873), and it is still one of the favorite tobacco products in the U.S. as well in other parts of the world. The second cigarettes brand is Kent. American cigarette brand Kent is owned and manufactured in the USA by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. However, when it comes to the worldwide market, lead manufacturer is British American Tobacco. This cigarette brand recorded brand value change of -1% when comparing years 2016 and 2107. This suggests that this brand might switch places with previous Gudang Garam in 2018 rankings. At last, but not least we are mentioning Parliament which came from one of the biggest tobacco companies in the world, Philip Morris. In the year of 1931, Parliament was first time introduced to the costumers with its new, recessed paper filter which is still its well-known trademark. In 2017 this brand recorded growth from the previous year, so we can predict that this trend will continue in 2018 as well. But, if Philip Morris really quit selling cigarettes, maybe Parliament profit will fall.
