Speaking about the countries with the ugliest women in the world can be funny for lots of people, but I must confess I am not one of them… Anyhow, Insider Monkey has recently published an interesting article about this topic. Beautiness is a relative concept. What is beatuiful now wasn’t a century ago. It’s the same as figure. In the beginning of the 20th century women were not as thin as today.
When we talk about the beauty of women, in particular, we should note that the culture plays a big part of it. Different cultures have different standards of beauty. For example, in Western cultures including the United States, a woman who has a bronze skin and curved body with large breasts is considered more beautiful and attractive. On the other side, in Eastern cultures like China, slim women with big eyes and pale skin are standard of beauty. Then you have African standards of beauty that include body modifications which are unattractive to many outsiders, but appreciated by Africans.
Now without a further ado let’s see what Insider Monkey has investigated for us. We have picked three countries from their list.
Let’s see the first country on our list. This country is Canada. We are going to the great white North with our list of Countries with the ugliest women in the world. Everyone’s favorite neighbors, Canadian women, and men seemed to be almost equally perceived in terms of beauty. While Canadian women had 24% acceptance rate, men achieved 23%. Is it the cold or? Then here is Spain. Surprisingly, Spanish men are viewed as more beautiful than the Spanish women. Male users achieved an acceptance rate of 25% while women came at 22%. It looks like Penelope Cruz has set the bar pretty high. As for me, I wouldn’t think Spanish women are ugly… And it was a surprise for me to see Australia on the list. With all those handsome Australian actors like Chris Hemsworth, you would think that other Australian men are not far behind. Turns out they are, since only 20% of Australian men got accepted compared to 21% of women.
