15 Most Profitable Organic Crops in America

Keep reading about the most profitable organic crops in America. Insider Monkey has recently published an interesting article about this topic. Nowadays more and more people realizes the importance of consuming and growing organic crops. As for me, I have a little farm with huge shepherd dogs, hunter dogs, cats, chickens, ducklings, a mini cow and some rabbits. I sell eggs, milk, cheese and some meat sometimes. I do farming beacuse I want to know what I eat. As the saying tells us: you are what you eat. I firmly believe it’s worth investing a little farm, since people in the city have realized products coming from farms directly are much better and healthier. I am planning to grow mushrooms either.

Not only because I love cooking and  eating them, but yes, they are very profitable. You can buy pre-grown mushroom sacks and just you put them into the cellar, and violiá! you can harvest! Of course not every mushroom is so easy to grow, but what is true, it is worth considering it. I grow my own fruit and vegetables too, from which I always put aside for winter. So I can say what I eat is produced at home.

Now without a further ado let’s see what Insider Monkey has investigated for us. We have picked four of the  most profitable organic crops in America.

The first idea is Plums and Prunes. Health benefits of plums and prunes are widely known and there is always a market for them. Organic plums aren’t that difficult to grow and can be quite profitable. A genius idea that it’s on our list of  most profitable organic crops in America. The second idea is one of my favourites: Blackberries.  Organic blackberries are not just incredibly tasty fruit but have plenty of nutrients and microelements that offer significant benefits to our health. We mustn’t forget about the delicious Grapes. Delicious on their own, organic grapes are also a great addition to any cheese plate. There is also organic wine produced from them, which can easily turn into a business opportunity of its own for organic grape farmers. At last, but not least let’s see Figs. Both fresh and dried organic figs, one of the  most profitable organic crops in America, are some of the healthiest fruits on the planet as well, choke-full of nutrients and vitamins. Ancient Greeks knew of their benefits and hold them in such esteem that, at one point, prohibited their export, leaving the entire production available for domestic consumption.
