15 Rudest Countries with Strong Nationalism in the World in 2017

Which are the rudest countries with strong nationalism in the world in 2017? You will get the answers if you check out the list of Insider Monkey was published recently. This list may be a good help if you are planning to travel around the world. Rudeness is reputeless for all nations, and people can’t boost with it. Perhaps many of us have met unpleasant situations when we were abroad: a waiter was impolite or passer-byes didn’t want to help us that we couldn’t understand why. Fortunately I haven’t find myself in these embarrassing situations yet, but it can happen everywhere, any time.  Unfortunately I could see that my home country was on the list, too. Until couple of years ago people in my country couldn’t really speak in English and I always found it a shame. Foreigners couldn’t get help from us, but thanks God, this totally changed.

Now without a further ado let’s see what Insider Monkey has investigated for us. We have picked three of rudest countries with strong nationalism in the world in 2017 from their list.

The first one is Croatia. You may wonder, “why Croatia?” or “are Serbian people perhaps the reason for this country to end up on this list?” More than 20 years of nationalist and territorial disputes between neighboring countries definitely have something to do with it. The phenomena of nationalism and national conflicts in the Balkans is a well-known issue. Some other arguments for the rudeness of this country were that “waiters were barely wanted to get a glass of water.” So, if you visit Croatia, be sure to ask something else but water! The next country on our list should be Poland.  It has the similar reputation as Hungary and Slovakia when it comes to migrants. During the refugee crisis, the countries of so-called Visegrád Four V4, are characterized as countries with nationalistic tensions and anti-migrant politics. Therefore, many arguments on forums were because of those allegations and because of the rise of far-right parties in recent years which have a negative attitude towards foreigners. At last, but least we are mentioning Spain now. Many statements on forums stated that Spain which ranks 9th on our list of  rudest countries with strong nationalism in the world in 2017, is one of the friendliest countries. However, many tourists claimed that they had a bad experience when encountered with Spanish people. Precisely, 3.15% of surveyed people think Spanish are rude to tourists. Most of the remarks were in restaurants and cafes. However, their nationalism is on the rise with firing issue of Catalonia.
