There is one serious story for historians is that the term “Hot Dog” originated at all. Some say that the name was conceived in 1901 by Polo Grounds in New York on a cold April day. Sellers sold the sausages in portable hot water containers, and while they were selling, to attract the attention of potential buyers, they shouted: “Buy red hot sausages” (Red Hot). Walking through the street and watching the sellers, Tad Dorgan, a sports cartoonist, gets an idea at the moment and begins to draw a bunny cake and how a dumbbell which is barking comes from it. Under the hood, he utterly wrote “Hot Dog.” Half the carcass of the moment caused a real sensation and, of course, made this product a great advertisement. The history of the Hot Dog is not as important as the importance of the tradition and the impact of this simple product in the whole world. The second legend says that a popular sausage (known as “dachshund” or “little dog” sausage) originated in the late 1600’s and was created by Johann Georghehner, who lived in Coburg in Germany. Johan later said that he had traveled to Frankfurt to promote his new product. The inhabitants of Vienna in 1805 introduced the term “Wiener” sausage to prove their claim that Vienna was the site of the sausage.
