25 Most Expensive Countries in the World in 2017

This article will bring you to the list of the most expensive countries in the world in 2017. Insider Monkey has recently published an interesting article about it. As the writer of the whole compilation I come from a developing country, and whenever I traveled I used to compare prices in the certain country where I was. And I always decided not to buy something I wanted to just because it was expensive. But after a while I stopped doing this. Simple I just wanted to enjoy my travels, and not to worry about prices. So I went to restaurants to have some special local meal, since I intended to taste as many delicious meals as I could. Anyhow I never regretted spending a little bit more money while traveling since I have wonderful memories now. But of course if one is tight on budget, they need to think twice what to spend the money on.

Now without a further ado let’s see what Insider Monkey has investigated for us. We have picked three of most expensive countries in the world in 2017 from their list.

The first one is the United Kingdom. According to Numbeo, United Kingdom has a Cost of Living Index of 76.02, ranking it 25th. London is considered to be 29th most expensive city in the world. The second country on pour list for now is Netherlands. Given the experience I shared in the introductory part of the article, I am not surprised Netherlands has made our list. According to Expatistan, Netherlands is an 18th most expensive country in the world, with a Price Index of 173. The third country on this compilation can be the United Aran Emirates. Just one look at the lifestyle pursued by those living in the United Arab Emirates is sufficient to know that this country will be among the most expensive in the world. On Movehub, the country is ranked 8th. Dubai is the 19th most expensive city in the world. At last, bit not least let’s check out Japan. Life in Japan does not come at a low price. Japan’s Cost of Living Index is 89.50, ranking it 8th on Numbeo. According to Mercer Cost of Living Index, Japan’s capital, Tokyo, is the 3rd most expensive city.
